Update: So my contract says I can file a claim with Wynns underwriter, the customer service manager told me I can't file a claim with the underwriter for the engine claim or the transmission claim. Why does Wynns get to make that decision for the underwriter.

I believe this underwriter doesn't know they are the underwriter for this warranty company.

The warranty company states it's their process and the contract states that if the car is under repair for too long, and I believe 3 months is too long I can file a claim, yet this warranty company holds all the cards and you can't get past their customer service/claims departments. Between the "dealer" who sold me the car and this warranty, I have been having to put out so much money for a car I drove for 40 days and it spent nearly 90 in a repair shop.

9/28/18: Wynns supplied an engine through one of their preferred suppliers which arrived last week. The mechanic put the engine in connected everything, test drove the car, it was looking like I would have my car on Monday 9/24/18.

I got a call from the mechanic that the replacment engine was leaking and it was a safety issue as it was leaking onto the manifold.

Mechanic contacted Wynns and told them, they response, "Not our problem", tell the customer. I called Wynns and argued that the engine, they supplied was defective and they need to fix it.

I then went on to the Wynns Warranty/Phoenix America website to the "contact us" tab, filled in all my info, my comment, hit the send button....nothing happens. This company is nothing but shady. I warn anyone being asked if they want to purchase a Wynns warranty, leave the dealer and go somewhere else, please.

My mechanic, feeling bad for this fiasco I'm in contacted the supplier and told them of the situation and how Wynns is not willing to stand behind the engine they supplied. The supplier told the mechanic to fix it and they paid my mechanic and the supplier said they will no longer be working with Wynns, as this has happened too many times.

I am so thankful for the mechanic and this supplier who "did the right thing" out of the goodness of his heart.

I have contacted every agency in Florida and Massachusetts I've been referred to, in order to get the word out that this company needs to be investigated.

I hope people who gave up be it years ago or more recently, come forward. It is my hope that we could possibly get a class action lawsuit against this company and their practice of taking our money and scamming us. They need to be stopped from selling this warranty in every state listed on their contract.

If there is any Lawyer or Agency out there willing to help me take this on, please contact me. I don't think alienating mechanics and suppliers will be enough to stop them, as each time someone buys this contract it's money in Wynns pocket, and the customer is shelling out more on top of that initial purchase.

I am getting my car back but not without much anguish, frustration and the impact to my health and livelyhood, it's been 2 months of *** for me, my mechanic and his crew.

If everyone who has been or is in my situation stands up to this company, only then will they no longer be able to conduct their phony business.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Phoenix American Warranty Cons: No confidence that my car will be working ever again, How they responded to my claim, Games they play, Everythimg.

I want in on your claim/lawsuit also. My car is currently having a used engine, water pump, etc installed. This company is ridiculous.
